East Carolinas Holton Ahlers, left, is tackled by App Statess Try Cobb at the Duke’s Mayo Classic at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina on Thursday, September 2, 2021.
East Carolina is looking to correct a quirk in its series history against Temple on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. The Pirates (4-4, 2-2 AAC) have never beaten the Owls (3-5, 1-3) at home in three games while both were members of the American Athletic Conference.
Temple is in shock after losing its last three straight games heading into Saturday’s game by an average score of 45-8. A victory would give the Pirates a four-game winning streak at home in AAC play, which would be the longest ever.
Saturday’s ECU-Temple game can only be streamed on ESPN+. The game is also available to ESPN+ subscribers through the ESPN app and ESPN.com. The link to watch it is here.
