Former RBI Governor Rangarajan receives Lifetime Achievement Award on Statistics Day
Former Reserve Financial institution of India Governor C Rangarajan acquired the Lifetime Achievement Award on Monday for his contribution to statistics on Statistics Day.
In his acceptance speech, Rangarajan harassed the significance of the credibility of official statistics.
Along with main the RBI and the Prime Minister’s Advisory Council, Rangarajan was chairman of the Nationwide Statistical Fee, created in 2000 to evaluate the statistical system.
Talking on the event, the Chairman of the Financial Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, Bibek Debroy, stated that Covid-19 had raised the problem of the shortage of public spending and the necessity to redefine priorities in the direction of the well being.
Chief statistician Pravin Srivastava stated the federal government will launch e-Sigma which can seize knowledge utilizing cell units.
