Manchester United target Raphael Varane feels kicked out from Real Madrid
Manchester United target Raphael Varane believes he is turned away by Real Madrid this summer and was ready to sign a new contract until recently, it has been claimed in Spain.
Varane appears to be on his way to Manchester United and has informed Real Madrid hierarchy that he wants them to strike a deal with the Red Devils.
Manchester United have had extensive discussions with the player’s representatives over the past two weeks and are close to reaching an agreement on a contract.
The Premier League giants are also gearing up to present their first written offer for Real Madrid and a decision is now expected to happen sooner rather than later.
But according to the Spanish daily AS, until recently, Varane was open to signing a new contract at Real Madrid this summer.
He was not happy with the offer initially made by Real Madrid, but the door remained open for negotiations.
His camp even called on Carlo Ancelotti to convince Real Madrid to offer the French more money in terms of salary.
But Real Madrid are keen to sell him as it would help the club financially during a precarious period and Varane believe he is being pushed back.
Varane is expected to be in Spain soon to speak with Real Madrid about his departure, but is unwilling to train with them for the preseason.
He wants the saga resolved quickly so he can train with Manchester United as soon as possible.
The two clubs are in talks and a deal worth € 50million is expected to be reached for Varane to move to Old Trafford soon.
