Multiple teens arrested following fight after high school football game in Boston – NBC Boston

“I’ve never seen so many cops in one place.”

Police have arrested six teenagers following a major fight that broke out after a high school football game in Boston’s South End neighborhood on Friday.

Dozens of Boston Police Department officers responded to the fight in Carter Park shortly before 6:30 p.m. for a brawl that spilled onto the streets of the South End.

Police could be seen forming lines, blocking the streets surrounding the park. The crowd became hostile towards responding officers, police said.

“They were running from the cops and then they were fighting. And then the cops went towards them to break up the fight and then they came back,” said a student who witnessed the altercation.

Police are still trying to figure out what sparked a fight after a high school football game in Boston on Friday night.

Video shared by witnesses shows teenagers on the street, some being handcuffed and held against parked vehicles and on the ground.

“I’ve heard people say there’s a knife, there’s a gun, there’s all these things going around on social media,” said Chloe Conroy, one of the many students who filmed the ordeal with her phone.

Two 17-year-old men, a 16-year-old man and three 15-year-old men were arrested. Their names have been withheld due to their age. Police also arrested a man, whom they identified as Chiquela Howard, 37, from Weymouth.

No other information was immediately available.
