OJ Simpson dresses up in old football clothes for Halloween

OJ Simpson turned out to be a real treat on Tuesday night as he celebrated Halloween by handing out candy, photos and even autographs to neighbors in his Las Vegas neighborhood.

The 71-year-old criminal appeared to be enjoying himself as much as his visitors and was seen smiling as he greeted each new group, just one month after his release from Lovelock Correctional Center.

He even dressed up for the night as some sort of ghost – donning his old “32” Buffalo Bills jersey.

Simpson unfortunately couldn’t keep the youthful illusion alive for too long as he had to throw in reading glasses to sign a young boy’s football.

Simpson remains the last player to wear the number “32” for the Bills, and although 40 years have passed since the running back retired in 1977, he has always been able to wear a new jersey for the night.

This was not an official jersey, however, as the Bills organization stopped selling them a long time ago and a search of the team’s website reveals that no Team Simpson gear can be purchased in line.

This could explain why Simpson, knowing he would be photographed, chose to wear the shirt and generate interest – and income.

Bills did not respond to a request for comment.

Simpson’s choice of glory days costume was not revealed until later that night on Tuesday, which also suggests that Simpson may have attended a costume party later that night.

And there’s also a chance that Simpson just likes to wear a counterfeit ’32’ jersey around the house.

He was pictured in the early evening wearing his standard uniform consisting of a golf shirt, shorts and a visor.

Simpson wasn’t on candy duty for very long, with the former athlete choosing to leave a bowl outside the door and only venturing out a few times during the night.

Perhaps the biggest trick of all during this time was the fact that he was handing out autographs for free, with Simpson making most of his money over the past two decades from his signing.

It was a bit suspicious though that none of the autograph seekers who showed up at his door were seen in costume.

The disgraced football star is moving into a friend’s $ 1.8 million home, located in a private gated community a few miles from the Strip.

Simpson – whose penchant for the high life seems to have remained intact despite his time in the middle of the desert – will live in the 5,000 square foot property that has 5 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, a backyard putting green and a swimming pool for the next few months as he prepares for his next move.

It’s a radical change for Simpson, who has spent most of the past decade living together in a 125-square-foot cell that included nothing more than a bunk bed, a toilet, and a sink.

However, he is adjusting well and has been seen putting on, hanging by the pool and entertaining his daughter Arnelle at the property as if he had lived there for years for the past few weeks.

Simpson spent the first few weeks of his outing focusing on his three favorite things according to several people close to the former football star – family, friends and golf.

And now he seems to be focusing on a fourth – his income.
